If you want to accessorise a fireplace a must have is the iron broiler. This one in in outstanding condition and usable. It was found in a Connecticut home and is signed on the handle. No joke-John Doe!

A neat brass 18th Century and maybe a little earlier desk or writing standish. These look great on a desk, shelf table or even a bible box with a grouping of books and a quill pen.

You will never use salt from a salt shaker after you have a master salt. They are great looking and are wonderful for all the special salts and sea salt you can now buy. This one is 18th Century English.

A real make do posnet or spider or saucepan as we would say today. Hard to know when it was done but looks great on the hearth.   SOLD

The English or Dutch brass trivet is late 18th century and would have had a teapot placed on it at the table. It stands 5 1/2" high.
