BROOM
Its amazing that any of these brooms survived at all and this one is such a beauty it really is a perfect example. What a great find! No early house should be without a broom in the keeping room or by a doorway. The handle is a little darker then it appears in the first picture but otherwise what you see is what you will get. Overall height is 49". SOLD NOISEMAKER
A great home made wood noisemaker used for celebrating most anything or for use in a parade. From a farm in Wisconsin it has initials and can still be used. I had just tons of fun going around twirling it and making lots of noise. It is 8 1/2" high x 4 3/4" wide and including the handle it is 11" wide. $125.00 STONE HOUSE
Just a fun and great piece of folk art in this soapstone house. Not exactly sure what it was made to do but it is really a work of art. Looks great in a grouping or could be used on a desk as a paper weight. It's small measuring just 3 1/4" wide x 3" deep x 3 1/4 high. Not sure about the origin but feel its mid 19th Century by the style and wear of the surface. $475.00 FOLKY BOX
Although I am calling this a fragment, it is quite an amazing piece. Missing its lid just the four sides and bottom survived but the best folk carving remains. It is dated and named and the case as you can see is dovetailed with hearts and dotted circles. All 10" of this box just makes you smile. SOLD HORN BEAKERS OR CUPS
The engraved horn cup shows a scene I would quess is a road in town with a carriage and road sign and wonderful early house. In addition there is a great border and lots of fine detail. Sadly, the bottom of this early 19th Century cup was replaced some time ago with what appears to be glass. It is 3 3/4" high. SOLD
Neat small size period horn cup almost what I would think could be called a shot glass size. It is 3" high with nice patina and no problems. SOLD TOBACCO HANDS OR HANKS
Tobacco hanks used to be everywhere but now that not as much tobacco is produced they have gotten to be hard to find. I have had several hanging in my house for years.Although dry they seem to last forever. Each is knotted at the top and ready to hang. I have only a few of these left.
