Meet the Reverend Nathaniel Rogers painted most likely by a relative in the 19th Century as a direct copy from the original painting. There is a label on the back stating the information. The painting has an nice frame which most likely is the original one. It measures 46" high x 31" wide. He would look so good above an early chest or desk.

On the back side of this reverse painting on glass is an inscription some of which is hard to read, but best I can tell it was done by a 12 year old girl. It won 2nd prize in 1861. What a neat concept to have flowers coming out of a cornucopia. The frame is old and most likely original and shows several other coats of paint. It is 8 1/4" x 10 1/4".

All of the following pictures are a collection of 12 siver gelatin photographs done by and signed  A.J. Burbank in tha later 19th Century. These photos are scenes and objects related to the Plymouth, MA area. They include homes of well known Pilgrims, Pilgrim Hall, Plymouth Rock and several other objects and people. The photographs are 10" high x 12" wide and adding the frame they are 11 1/4" high x 13 1/4" wide.

Many of these photographs have Burbank's writing explaining the subject pictured. This is one example.

Below is a series of early engravings each with a short description.
